How to turn a Starbucks coffee pitcher into a pretty and useful Vase.

First you are going to need a vessel. My daughter worked for Starbucks and she bought these for $1 knowing I could turn them into something!

I made two of them.

This is what I used.

Tissue paper, Elmer's glue and a little water for the first one.

Mix the glue and water together. It is a little easier to work with if the glue is watered down.

I worked in sections. Adding the glue, then laid the paper into place until I was back at the beginning.

Cut around the sections of the handle, being careful not to rip off the paper. It left a lot of lines or crinkles on the tissue paper, which is what I liked. It gives it texture.

Let it dry and you are ready to seal it! Make sure the sealer you use will not turn yellow. Make sure you read the can or container. You really don’t want this to yellow.

So so pretty!

For this second pitcher, I basically did the same thing but used a heavier paper.

I didn't like the look of the paper on the outside but loved how you could see it from the inside of the pitcher.

So I painted it! You could use any paint here.

I chose something I had on hand.

I let it dry in between each coat and I just added paint until I was happy with the look and couldn’t see the flowered paper on the outside.

I added DIY Mint Chip paint mixed with water (a lot of water) and just brushed it onto the outside of the pitcher.

Dab the excess off with a dry paper towel.

It just gives it a little more dimension!

I know you can’t see the inside after painting it but you guys, it’s like a little surprise when you are filling it with water!

So there you have two looks with one pitcher.

Ready for faux or real flowers.

Because the paper is on the outside, you can add water to the inside without any worries of ruining it!

I had everything on hand so it didn't cost me anything.
