Sidewalk Chalk – Chocolate Chalk Recipe
Learn how to make sidewalk chalk that looks like a chocolate bar. This DIY chalk recipe uses actual chocolate so why not also make it look like chocolate!
MATERIALS
- Disposable Cup
- Chocolate Bar Mold (I made my own) or you can purchase one like this one)
- Popsicle Stick
- 1/4 Cup Plaster of Paris (overflowing 1/4 cup)
- 1 Cup Water
- 1-3 Tbs Cocoa Powder
Mix together an overflowing 1/4 cup of Plaster of Paris and 1 cup of water in a disposable cup.
Add around 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder to the mixture.
Add more water or Plaster of Paris until the mixture creates a chalk paste. You can also add more cocoa powder to get the color you would like.
Use the popsicle stick to spread the chocolate chalk paste mixture into the mold. You can either buy a mold or make your own chocolate bar mold like I did.
Let them dry overnight and then very carefully remove them from the molds.

Well let me be the first to say it’s a very neat idea! And the fact that it smells like chocolate-it would make me hungry! (Just a heads up that a lot will comment how edible this will seem to a toddler but should have common sense to supervise their children)
