Tin Ceiling Tile Pocket for Flowers

I so loved another bloggers store bought tin pocket that she used to decorate her door for Valentine's Day that I decided to make my own. Using tin tiles I found at a thrift store several years ago, I attached them, bent the tiles open, and created a pocket!
I put the tiles back to back and drilled holes in all 4 corners and in the center of the bottom. Using heavy wire I created loops that went through the holes on each tile and created a tie that held them together. I used one long piece of thick wire as the handle.
Using Chalk Paint which sticks to metal, I gave the tiles several coats of paint. I love the way the flat paint created a Shabby Chic look on the tiles.

I filled the pretty white pocket with faux flowers and Spanish moss... Hang the pocket on your front door filled with faux flowers or fill a plastic bag with water and put real flowers inside the pocket! Stop by Homeroad to see all the DIY details...
