Looking for something a little different for your fall decor this year? Something quick, inexpensive and easy for all ages? Join our trend to add a little whimsy to your fall decor this year!
Do you have some plastic apples? We did, and they were tucked away in a cabinet, and I haven't used them in years for any kind of display. I don't like to store things that I don't use, so it was time to remake or donate.
I forgot to take a before picture of my green apples, but I found one on the internet that was similar.
I wrapped the stems with painters tape and spray painted them with two coats of a glossy white spray paint. Be sure to all each coat to dry fully before applying the next.
The apples look bright and fresh with a new coat of glossy paint, but I felt they needed something more. From my craft stash, I pulled out red glitter tape and a circle hole punch. The great thing about this glitter tape is that it has a backing on it. It was easy to punch out several glitter dots - and then just peel and stick at random!
We put them in a white bowl for display and I loved them, but I felt the bowl was a little small and unfortunately, I didn't have a white bowl in a good size for this.
But, I did find a silver bowl that held them beautifully.

Note: Our cost for this project was -0- as we used scraps that we had on hand. The time shown on this project does not include the spray paint dry time.
