Do you have family scattered all over the country? Looking for that perfect personalized gift? Are you a big sports fan or know one? Then I have the perfect DIY project for you!
Make a personalized state pallet sign!
Supplies needed:

State Template - Find your state HERE!

Pallet Boards - follow the link at the bottom for the lengths I used

Paint or Stain

Paint Brush

Cut your boards to fit your state. I like to leave about a full pallet board on the top and bottom.
Cut 2 boards for the back of the sign making sure they overlap each sign board. Attach the boards to each pallet sign board with an air nailer. Now you have your sign!
Place your state template on the front of the sign. At this point you can tape the template to the sign or hold with your hands.

Paint the inside of the state sign. A good tip when painting with a template is to always paint towards the middle. This will keep the paint from bleeding under the template.
Pull the template off the sign and there you have it... the state that holds your heart!
Draw and paint a heart in the area you live in or want to represent.

What about putting the letters of the University you graduated from or your child goes to? What a great present for your college student!
