Dress up a blank white canvas with pretty paper designs.

I love to craft with paper and I want to share how you can create a lovely piece of art using this tutorial.

If you love simple DIY projects for your home be sure to follow me here on Hometalk. You can also find me over at Creative Ramblings.

For this project you will need a blank white canvas. Then head to your craft stash and grab a pile of colorful cardstock.

You'll also need a Silhouette or Cricut, glue and mounting squares.

Using a Silhouette or Cricut, design a wreath with flowers and words on the canvas. You can do this right on your computer. Put everything together until you have the look you want, use stock images and text to keep this a low cost project.

Once you are happy with the design, cut each layer from a different color of cardstock.

I cut colorful flowers and punched out white circles for the middles.

I cut the wreath from light green and the words from black.

I adhered the wreath and words to the canvas with glue and attached the flowers with mounting square to give the piece some dimension.

The final result is a layered, colorful piece of art. It's perfect for summer but can be used year round.
