Unused Coat Closet Transformed Into a Welcoming "Mini Mudroom"

Once a forgotten home for a vacuum cleaner and Christmas wrap. Now a useful and stylish hangout for coats, purses, backpacks, shoes and more!!
I began by removing the small door, and trim.
Wanting the opening to be larger to accommodate a bench, I used a reciprocating saw.
I also added height to the space and put in a new header
The fun started when I added the bench and trim.
An extra shelf up top couldn't hurt.
I still need to finish up some floor trim but I'm loving the way it turned out.
Enjoyed the project?
