Cut sheets of sanded plywood into 8" wide planks and nail/glue to floor, stain and poly. Cost effective and absolutely beautiful! icon

Bought 4x8 sheets of pre sanded plywood
Cut into 8 " planks
Attach to floor staggering the seams with subfloor adhesive and nail gun
Stain and poly
Suggested materials:
  • Plywood   (Lowes)
  • Winwax stain   (Ace Hardware)
  • Minwaw polyurethane for floor

    I plan to do this soon in my office. I have seen and looks at many videos, DIY tutorials. Most say when laying boards, to stagger the boards. I see that you have some line up next to each other. Have you found that it has worked for you? What is your experience with it done this way. Thanks for sharing.

    What did you use to transition your flooring in the adjoining room? We have concrete flooring in our kitchen and want to yank the carpet in the dining room and use plywood, but need to transition to the concrete in the kitchen.
