For the Recycle challenge I had no problems finding both materials and a need. Starting with soft drink bottles from our garbage bag; I then made a quick visit to the recycling shed at the local landfill. There, I found an incomplete set of the smaller glasses and a single, rather grungy, starter plate.
My desk was a frightful mess, so I decided that it would be an excellent project for the Recycling Challenge.
I cleaned all of the container and prepared them for painting.
After cutting off the tops of the soft drink bottles, I cleaned them and removed the labels.
I needed a base for my idea, so the old charger plate was ideal.
I used a quality paint because I knew that the containers would be used extensively.
Painting the charger plate and the containers started to reveal the picture in my head. I think that I am the official "Spray Paint Queen."
I glued the containers to the charger plate. Now, there is a place for everything and everything is in it's place.
After some cleaning and organizing. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my completed "Recycling challenge," A Place For Everything."
