Midcentury Desk Before and After

I have been preparing several pieces for an event this week, and I had this one no one had claimed yet in my inventory. It's a smaller desk, perfect for a tight space or kids room, made by Broyhill.
These MCM pieces sometimes tend to have laminate tops and this one was no exception. I usually use my trust Zinsser Cover stsin primer for pieces like this that need extra adhesion.
I first sanded every surface of the piece, minus the feet and bottom apron (I was keeping the walnut intact). I then sprayed my primer, sanded, and sprayed my navy and white paint. The whole piece got sealed with General Finishes High Performance Poly-love that stuff! We added new handles for an extra touch.
