living the American dream young family buys a house 100 yrs old but needs work no money to just pay a contractor to come in so what do you do?? 32 yr old mechanic that grew up in Papaw's garage fixing washers and dryers went on the road building over 500 houses . I know a thing or 2 I know a lot of people it's not who you know it's how you know em . my countertop is cherry maple that was the bowling lane approach from the old bowling alley they tore down acquired by helping a cabinet maker. dishwasher was acquired by installing a fuel pump for a buddy as transmission work got me the pex line I needed to replumb everything. Countertop placement and dishwasher installation was done because I rebuilt a motor in a carpenters truck I have stainless angle for shelves I've had in storage for years came out of the old dominoes before they closed . As did the stainless that will make my stove backsplash and soon the backsplash behind the sink will be completed for transmission work I'll be doing for a tile guy it's far from done still have a ways to go but looking better everyday . Dang near killed myself busting my butt to give my wife her dream kitchen with little to no money exchanged beside sand paper and paint stripper . But if you don't have the money but hold a unique skill set anything is possible if I keep it up maybe one day I'll have the garage I need to run my repair shop out of after her kitchen is done . Oh yea I just broke another scraper and need electric ran outside so if a sparky needs their plugs and wires done in thier car I'm available Thursday lol thanx all

Wow - just wow! Love the sink and love what you are accomplishing.

I'd love to see pics of the whole house. You are doing a great job. As you are doing this really low budget, I suggest you look up the "paper bag treatment for floor". You might want to use it somewhere in the house.
