A Dining Room Full of Finds

3 Materials
My neighbor and friend had me refinish a gorgeous old Empire style buffet. It was to go into her newly renovated and remodeled home.
Here is the dining room all done! Large windows, an original planked cedar wall, plus all of her finds through the years give it character.
Here is the buffet when I got it. It needed a ton of wood filler and sanding before I was able to paint it. She and her husband had originally purchased it decades ago and never got around to refinishing it.
We decided on a deep red and new glass pulls for some sparkle. The full before and after with Product List:

Buffet Before and After
The red plays nicely off her french country drapes.
I'm a big fan of empire style furniture - the lines are so pretty.
The room got a new chandelier that fits the decor perfectly.
Her room is full of interesting finds that she and her husband have collected throughout the years that have meaning to them both.
This is a vintage cabinet from her in-laws farm in Pennsylvania.
The curtains frame new, larger windows that were had installed during the renovation.
Just one more of the buffet! More before and after posts here! Before and Afters
