How to transform a cheap tiered tray to an expensive looking bar cart using things I had on hand. (Except for the cart)

First things first, I went to Walmart and found this roller cart for under $20!!

I searched high and low on the internet and they were all soo expensive, so this was perfect.

I set up the cart and took it to my paint tent and started giving it a few light coats of First Million spray paint.

This paint dries very quickly, making this a fast project 🙌

While the paint was drying I cut down some scrap wood I had on hand to 15 inches long.

There are 4 trays on this cart so I cut 4 pieces total.

Next I have all the boards a good sanding with 220 grit.

Now I have each board a coat of briarsmoke stain. You could also spray paint the boards if you wanted.

I let everything dry overnight, and then brought it inside to start filling it with yummy treats, I originally wanted to do an apple cider cart but I knew my kid’s wouldn’t like it 🤷‍♀️ so I did a basket of apples and some Carmel packed.

I founds some cute fall cups and put hot cocoa and marshmallows in a jar.

Also adding some simple decorations.

I decided to remove one of the trays to make more room for the apples.

the nice thing about this cart is that you can customize what trays you use and don’t use 👍

And of course I had to bring the skeleton out of storage for the kids to come home to…

They were pretty excited when they walked in the door (mom win)

What do you think of this project, would you rather diy or buy??

I love your designs…soooo awesome! Question…do you have a link for the spray “booth” you were using in one of the pics? That looks like it would help with overspray and so much more :-)

Very cute. I have a skeleton named Earl ('cause Earl had to die)...You'll get it if you're a country music fan 😜 Earl sometimes rides along in my Jeep with me 💀

I can't believe there's enough people out there who pay such astronomical prices for such a few pieces of wood and/or metal who keep such manufacturers in business. It's flabbergasting. Yours looks fine. I could do that.
