DIY Thrift Store Chair Makeover

I found this fun ergonomic bench chair at a thrift store. With a little love and a makeover I knew just what I wanted to use this chair for in my home. You can see more of my crazy creations here
Here's the original chair. It was marked at $5 and the day we were there it happened to be 1/2 off!
The top cushion screws had been stripped out, so we put new ones into the bench.
I removed the cushions and wiped all the wood down to clean it.
I removed all of the old staples and upholstery. The actual cushions were in pretty good shape so I chose to use them but you could opt to get new cushions if you want.
I had some fabric at home from another project I had worked on. I folded the fabric over the cushion onto the wood and hot glued it in place to hold it until I could do the next step.
Here are both of the cushions hot glued on.
We then used our nail gun to hold the new upholstry into place. We learned the hard way that the nails were a little long so had to bend the nails over. Next time I would use a staple gun instead.
I screwed the cushions back onto the chair.
Here's the completed chair. Two things I love about this chair - it has wheels so it can be rolled around easy, and it folds down flat so you can put it away when not in use.
I plan to use this chair in my home when practicing mindfulness as well as posture.I would love to have you stop by my blog Chas' Crazy Creations  for the full tutorial as well as sign up for my latest creations, posts, recipes, exclusives, and more...I would love for you to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see more of my crazy creations - https://www.youtube.com/c/chascrazycreations
