'Revenge is the Best Medicine' China Cabinet Makeover

French Provincial is one of my favorite styles of furniture to work with so when a client brought me this fabulous china cabinet for a restyle, I did a little happy dance.
BEFORE
The client wanted a sleek, modern makeover and 'little black dress' screams glamorous. So, black it was and the color, 'Revenge' couldn't have been more perfect. I love the implication of looking fabulous is the best revenge. :)
Sneak Peek
Sneak peek....my vision is taking place and I'm loving the transformation.
To add a little Hollywood-esque glamour, I painted all the detailing silver.
I always try to use original hardware when possible. Especially when it's these beautiful french pulls. Changing the worn-out gold to sultry silver added the instant wow factor.

The finished cabinet doors were such a dramatic difference from the before, I couldn't wait to show my client!

I am so grateful when clients send me pictures of my pieces in their homes. I especially loved seeing my restyle as a display showcase and ready for the next family gathering or party.

What paint did you use? I inherited this exact same piece (and dining table and chairs) I inherited from my mother and I have been so scared to touch it for fear I would mess it up but I really want to do this. Her china would look stunning with the new color! I want to repurpose and update all of the french provincial furniture I inherited. I might not feel like I am living in the mom museum if I update
