We bought our house 2 years ago. Everything in it is builder grade and boring. So we are redoing each room of the house to make it our own.
We started by removing the wire rack and sink. We donated the washer and drier that came with the house to a family in need. They were still in great shape. But I'm not a fan of front loads and washers.
Next we purchased unfinished cabinets from home depot and the faux brick wall board and some stain. We put up the board hung the cabinets. The sink we purchased from ziggy's and just re used the old faucet. I did a german smear on the brick. The shelf we did used a piece of pine would a used the "Burn" technique instead of just a plain stain to keep the color palet the same but give it an extra layer of texture.
We removed the old dome light and purchased this on at walmart. Just gives it that rustic feel.
I plan on redoing the floor and redo the doors to the laundry but that's a later project.
Enjoyed the project?

Wow, that looks great! Was there a reason that you put a shorter cabinet over the sink? Headroom, maybe?
