Reclaimed Pallet Wood Coffee Table

I found this Round coffee table at a thrift store. Here is what the coffee table looked like before with a round glass top over a battery operated clock. It was in pretty good condition other than the clock face had an overlay and was lifting. I really did like it, however, with some of the changes in the family room and when it came to decorating the top of the coffee table the clock seemed a bit useless.
With the changes in the family room and keeping it with a little rustic charm we decided to remove the clock pieces and create a reclaimed pallet insert
After removing the battery clock parts, pieces of the pallet wood was cut in lengths to cover the entire round piece. They were laid out on the original clock face piece. Using a Pneumatic staple gun the pieces were stapled in place.
The entire piece was flipped over, a jig saw was used to cut away the overhang of the wood
Once all the pieces of the wood was cut the edges were sanded.
The new reclaimed pallet piece was inserted back into the metal coffee table frame and the glass was added back to the top
