I inherited this china cabinet that used to belong to my great-grandmother. The color was a bit orangey for my taste, and the finish had seen better days.
I decided to liven the cabinet up with a splash of color and repurpose it from a china cabinet to a coffee bar. We're a bit coffee addicted, so it gets much more use this way. :)
The paint is Annie Sloan in Aubusson Blue with a clear wax. The hutch that came with the cabinet didn't fit very well in my tiny kitchen (because of light switch placement, etc) so I found this fabulous farmhouse vintage style shelf to hang above as extra storage.

Retta E Moran on Mar 02, 2015I really love what you did with this china cabinet. I especially love the color. My husband had gotten an old file caninet and refinished it back to it's original shape and we used it for a coffee station I never thought og putting the shelf over the top I like that idea since we have such limited surface space. I will have to look into that. Thank you for a great idea.
