This tutorial will show you how you can make a grocery bag holder to help keep those plastic bags organised. A great opportunity to upcycle an unwanted tea towel!

This is a super quick and easy sewing project that can help you keep those plastic grocery bags under control!

This Grocery bag holder is made from a tea towel so theres no need to finish off the edges neatly to stop fraying as it's already been done for you!

Firstly, gather your supplies.

You'll need to start by folding the short edges down on both ends of the tea towel to create a channel. Sew both of these edges. One end will be used to thread through the elastic and the other end will be used to thread through the ribbon.

Put the long edges together, with right sides facing, and then sew together.

Turn the tea towel tube right side out.

You'll need to thread the elastic through the bottom channel on the tea towel and tie the ends together.

Thread the ribbon through the channel at the top of the tea towel and tie a knot at the very end of the ribbon tails.

Now you'll have a spot to keep all those grocery bags together and you have easy access to the bags from the bottom!
