Hi, Date everything, Place in Boxes which are Month Dated.. Best wishes.
Spend a little more and purchase containers, plastic zip bags, and wraps that are freezer-rated. Air-tight materials will be more efficient at keeping the air out of the contents. This will help to keep the food from drying out, tasting stale, and becoming tough and hard to cook.
First step is to take everything out of your freezer and clean it, then Martha takes over:

Hello. That is a great question. Organizing in bins and baskets can be helpful. Also I find freezing things in plastic zipper bags in a flat nature allow for good stacking in the plastic bins or wire baskets.
Dry erase board to keep track of contents and make zones to keep items together. Label clearly with the label visible as you look into the freezer.

Freezer Organization
It depends on the freezer. If it is a side by side , easy peasy. Organize by foods. I have one shelf for chicken, one for beef and pork, the basket at the bottom is for veggies and breads and top shelf for desserts.
I chest freezer needs to be separate by foods as well but in bins.
Newest on the bottom, oldest on top. I assume you have a chest style freezer... Uprights are much easier to keep organized.
Is your freezer an upright or chest freezer? Different organizational methods needed for them. Here's info on the chest type.
