are you talking about outside? we have a metal hanger we put outs on and if you want to store it in garage etc you need to drain it well and then hang from a hook in garage

I used a fence railing that I pounded into the ground by the spigot and added a bicycle rack hook to it.
There are inexpensive metal garden hose holders you can attach to a garage wall. They are like a half circle. For the winter I drain mine and circle them in a large planter and store in the shed.
A large planter is a great option. Especially if you have a lightweight hose. Heavy duty hoses take up too much room for that solution though.
Thin hoses bend and crimp easily, cutting off the water flow which is frustrating. Thicker hoses are heavy to drag and heave around the yard. The easiest solution is to purchase a dedicated hose reel. These keep the hose wound up evenly, and make it easy to access just the length of hose that you need at the time. Several different styles are available.
