The Iris Garden

Today I took my friend who is visiting from Australia to see The Iris Garden and we were not disappointed, oh my! And naturally I came home with one too, well I couldn't help myself and it is always good to add to the collection and also get ideas for the garden.
One of several lily ponds
How that old barn is still standing amazes me.
Water loving Irises
The summer house with Clematis growing up the sides and a beautiful mauve Iris, Hostas.
The vegetable garden
Heaven, lots of gorgeous colours and all grown in old concrete block beds.
The black and white garden
Buxus topiary, Irises and Paeonies
A gate into another part of the garden is through the trunks of the massive hedges.
The hedges are Macrocarpa (Monterey Cypress) and have been trimmed back to show their trunks.
