Winter Fire Pit - Summer Fountain!

I have one of those fire pits, which I barely used ... until I found a way to convert it into a fountain. I dug a hole a little bit larger than the fire bowl. I filled the hole with an old blue plastic baby pool. In the center I placed some center blocks to hold the bowl. The fire bowl already has a hole in the bottom through which I placed a plastic pipe. Underneath I placed a medium sized fountain pump, filled the pool with water and voila .. I have fountain! To make it look better, I placed metal grits around the bowl and covered those with riverrocks. The birds love it!

They have solar bird baths on Amazon for 20.00!

I have to get one of those one day. Last winter I did not unplug the fountain and had some interesting ice formations! The birds still came!
