I've tried the cornmeal or Borax and sugar method in the house and it works, but outside, I've used a hose or hot water and that works, too. I had to do it several days in row before they got the hint, and honestly, I have to do it at the beginning of every season, but it's better than chemicals for me.
In a blender, mix borax and sugar. Put this in the cracks around your pavers. The ants will eat the sugar and the borax will kill them. Keep kitty away for a few days then water the borax mixture in thoroughly.
The "Terro" brand of ant killer works great, give that a try!
Put down a few drops of Terro. They'll take it back to the nest and that will be the end of them.
Try spraying this stuff next to or under the pavers: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/outdoor/pest-repeller/cheap-easy-homemade-ant-spray-31195184
2 cups of vinegar, distilled
2 cups of water
3 tablespoon blue Dawn dishwashing liquid
3 tablespoons table salt is the mixture
Terro liquid bait traps are little miracles for indoors. For outdoors, diatomaceous earth works near instantly, it's all natural, and pet safe.
Hi, Use Boiling water from the kettle!
