I've wanted my own version of a She Shed for a few years. With my guy's mad carpentry skills, it all came together and I love it!
painted She Shed using a tinted stain
Close to finished, added front stoop, lattice along the base and some flashing above.
She Shed: humble beginnings
She Shed: ready for a dance party
8 X 10 cedar frame with shed roof
This is the extant (mostly) of the new materials used, cedar frame and deck boards (Home Depot) for the floor, roof is corrugated plastic (Menards)
framing windows and door
Front door and 4 windows all reclaimed
more windows
(view of front/side) more reclaimed windows added on west wall
rear windows
3 'piano' windows found on Craigslist added to rear wall
Love how this sliding glass door turned out.
(rear view) reclaimed "sliding glass door" installed as floor-to-ceiling window
more reclaimed windows on east wall
(east side) reclaimed door installed as window (does not open)
(west side) added window screens and started siding with reclaimed wood
(rear view) more reclaimed wood siding on rear wall
we put up 'siding' as we were able to accumulate it from a local source of discarded wood, most of it is from packing crates or pallets that needed to be broken down
Open windows hung from the ceiling
putting it together inside the shed, installed hooks and carabiners to attach these windows to the ceiling when open
DIY cushions, outdoor fabric and glue gun
inside with custom-built bench/sectional, all the windows are on hinges and can be hung from the ceiling when open

What is the foundation? Is it set up on bricks or cement sidewalk blocks, or what looks like garden ties?
