When I saw this just laying there, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!! I turned this cabinet door into something special!
I found this old cabinet door amongst some other pieces of wood that we were looking at, right away I new what I was going to do with it, I love the style and size of it.
So I brought it home washed all the dirt off, took the hinges off ( I'll save for another project) then I taped it off to get ready to paint. The color I chose is a Dovetail gray,
I then painted the center of the board the chalkboard black. Made sure I gave it a couple of layers. The more the layers 3-4 the better the chalkboard. I began to distress before adding the chalk holder.
So I painted front and back, so that it has that finished look.
I began to distress before adding the chalk holder. And I added the chalk holder, and the chalkboard is finished!!

I love my new chalkboard, I hope you like it as well :)
