Updating chairs with color gives them new life and purpose. They add color as an accent chair at the front door to sit on to put on shoes, beside a bed for the same as well as set out clothes on, as extra seating at a table or adding color to a desk in an office.
This solid oak chair made by a Canadian made company called Krug has a comfy curvy seat and back but is so faded and boring in the original finish that is now faded.
Check out the fabulously well made chair
In order to update this one I chose Fusion Mineral paint in coal black, classic black cannot go wrong right? 2 coats give great coverage and wanting to keep it clean and simple there was no distressing.
And although Fusion has a built in top coat I wanted to add an edge to the chair so hand rubbed Fusions new liming wax into the whole chair. The white wax gives a cool updated look.
This chair is now ready for years more use, classic and edgy all in one.
A close up of the seat shows it better for you, what do you think?
