Outdoor chair - what to do?
So this chair has been in storage for a year or so now and I just cannot get rid of it since the frame is in such good shape. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do with it to repair it for chair use or ideas on other use options?

I've seen some tutorials where people weave rope around the frame to make it useable again. You could also put some wood on it and use it as a planter.

If you don't mind a different look you can macrame on the frame. Search macrame chairs on youtube, lots of tutorials out there. I found clearance cord and did mine in blue and white.

You can buy some canvas fabric and recover it. Canvas should be strong enough. But it will require some hand sewing.
Macrame a seat and back
I love the macrame look! If it was my chair though, I would probably would have my husband(woodworker) cut a fitted piece of wood that can be screwed into the frame. I wood take that wood and upholster it with outdoor fabric. I probably wouldn't leave it outside after re-upholstering. I would use on a porch.

Hi Dave, you can reno your chair using cotton rope of whatevr size you please. It is a fairly easy job to do the seat and then the back separately. I think you'll find you don't need the wrapping of the rope to be very thickly done and it will be much more comfortable than some of the plastic webbing, especially when very hot.
MAybe get an outdoor fabric and sew that in place
Make your own macrame or wicker pattern
