I have never attempted a do it yourself project, but wanted something bright & original for our beach house. Found mathching 3 bar stools at a thrift store that were in the need of a little TLC, & created these bright one of a kind bar stools for a total of $35
Original stool
One of the 3 matching stools purchased from thrift store for $22.00 total
I started my project, by disassembling the chair from the base of each bar stool & sanding the chairs and their bases to remove as many imperfections as possible.
Once all the stools were sanded I spray painted each seat & base with a flat acrylic spray paint.
I then sketched & painted a design on each seat & painted them using acrylic paint colors I purchased ar Walmart.
Once the paintings on the seats dried, I reassembled the barstools by reattaching the base, and sprayed painted them one final time with a high gloss finishing clear coat.
.
Finally, our completely original one of a kind Bar Stools were added to our Beach home to add a spot of color at our Kitchen bar.
