Easy Trick to Test Paint Color for Your Walls!
Trying to decide how to choose paint color for your walls? This simple method lets you test different colors on your walls without painting swatches directly onto them. Plus you can use it in any room. There's also a Paint Planning Sheet you and download free on our website link below.
All you need is some posterboard, scotch tape and your paint samples with a small roller. Most paint stores offer free or low cost samples for you to test with.
Paint a coat of your test paint colors on each posterboard. Make sure to use a light coat.
After they have dried use scotch tape to tape each corner down onto your walls. We placed ours side by side though you can do one at at time.
We were choosing between very subtle colors with different finishes. Make sure to test them in different lighting and on different walls as paint looks very different depending on lighting. This is a very easy way to see how different colors will look without actually putting sample paint sections directly onto the wall.
