The welds broke from the weights. Best would be to replace if budget allows. You can use zip ties just to repair it.
These aren't expensive so when you get a chance just replace it but until then you need a quick solution.
I would not put a lot of weight on this until it has been replaced.
You need to use metal clamps.
Once these are broken, they’re pretty well done for. Since you’ll have to replace it, if you can, try for something sturdier next.
Check Home Depot, etc. for 'standard sizes' of that piece. Use wire snips to cut away your damaged section in a width that you can purchase a 'standard size' replacement section. Install and voila!
If you have very heavy items you have to store, you can snip out the damaged area and use a wood shelf in its place. Get some angle iron for support and screw the shelf to the angle iron.
Hi,
Looks as though you are holding too much weight on this system and although you could
fix it as a temp arrangement, it will not last long - see how the shelf is bending? Taki it down and fix a stronger arrangement for your needs. Good luck!
Based on the images, it would be best to just replace them and look for better and sturdier options.😊
You can buy a replacement piece of shelving at any home improvement store.
Time to replace it, I would get sturdier supports and put them into the studs, for the top shelf I would put wood up there and hang the rack from that or a dowel system would also work with supports from the wood shelf.
I had something similar happen in a closet and I used the heavy duty zip ties to hold in place.
Lauren, you question has posted several times.
Hello. Some of the metal carabiners our weight rated might be something to consider. Several might be needed to help distribute the weight effectively efficiently. It will probably be best to replace it for long term reliability.

Looks like you have more clothes than that wire rod can hold. I'd replace it with a wooden rod: https://amzn.to/33guk0s

If you need to store so many heavy items, then you'll need to "beef up" the rod with one that is stronger. The shelf too...... just to much weight for the strength of the current product.
Well for ssure it is not strong enough fooor the weight of clothes hung on it, so maaaaaybe it is time to buy a new stronger system. eg: Curtain pole and brackets? You could maaybe do a temp. fix using gaffer tape??
It looks as if you need a new shelf, you could temporarily fix this with zip ties, but it won't last long.
