Shutter Shelf

Hey there, Hometalkers! I've got another thrifty makeover for you today! This shutter has been hanging around my garage for over TWO YEARS! Every time I pulled it out to see what I could do with it, I never could come up with anything new and fresh for it.
I decided I need to just do something with it already, so I finally did...
It makes a great backdrop for this cute and functional shelf.
I found a piece of scrap wood and painted them to match, then added these brackets that I removed from a $1 shelf I found at a yard sale. They were brass but I spray painted them white...
The blue is Behr's Gray Morning by Behr made into chalk paint.
The hooks across the bottom came from Hobby Lobby. I spray painted those as well.
I think it turned out pretty darned cute. A little shelf like this could be used just about anywhere in the house! Visit the link below for more details and photos.

Confessions of a Serial DIYer on Apr 04, 2016Hobby Lobby sells them although not quite as dainty as these. I took these off of a plain shelf I already had. I did see some on Amazon.com also. Search for "decorative shelf brackets". Good luck!
