Coffee Filter Spring Wreath
If you are looking for a cheap and fun project to work on, check out my Coffee Filter Spring Wreath project below. This project does not require a lot of supplies and you can make it your own style.
The only necessary items you need is a circular base, hot glue gun (glue sticks) and coffee filters. (I prefer using a hot glue gun but you can use super glue as well). The decorations are optional. My suggestion is to go to the dollar store for the flowers and additional add on's. Due to the current circumstances, I gathered supplies around my house and craft box.
Take each sheet and pinch the middle of the filter. Squeeze the filter until its vertical. Repeat the step until you have enough to cover the wreath.
Now start gluing on each filter to the base. Repeat this until fully covered. If you wish to add on decorations, leave empty spaces on the base.
(If you do not want to add on decor. Feel free to skip this step). Once the filters are added, start gluing on the decorations. It always helps to start off with something small and work your way up to the bigger objects. My goal for this wreath was to have a cluster of objects on one side.
It's now time to add on the signature look (main piece). I had four great ideas that I wanted to share with you. I decided to go with the mini jar instead and fill it with LED lights. But all of them looked really great. I think the mini wine bottle was a fun idea. The frame can add a personal touch to this project. The round wood is very rustic, if you like that style.
Once all decor is added, it's time to touch up the filters. Repeat steps 2 & 3 around the decorations. This will make the wreath look full all around.
Your wreath is almost fully complete :-) now for the final touch. Turn the wreath over and glue on the what will hang the wreath. I decided to use craft rope for mine.
Side note: since I used LED lights the battery holder was glued to the back of the wreath. I glued mine towards the bottom of the wreath to help keep the balance when I hang it.
Congratulations!!! You now have a coffee filter spring wreath!!!❤ the pictures below are close-ups of the wreath that show more detail.
