Starfish Napkin Ring: A Fast DIY Tutorial

by Brooke Bock
It seems like everything in the summer is coastal or beach inspired...with good reason. I made this fast and easy napkin ring for a DIY wedding idea that can be taken home by guests and used in their homes too.
It actually takes longer to wait for the glue gun to heat up than to actually make each one.
Gather your supplies: rope, starfish, scissors, hot glue gun and sticks and a paper towel tube.
Wrap your rope twice around the tube and tie it. Cut it off, leaving short tails.
Get your starfish ready by turning it upside down.
Add a drop of hot glue.
Turn it over and press it onto the knot.
Slide the rope off the tube and press it firmly into the hot glue.
Once dry,add your napkin. I used a laundered flour sack towel. For more details, check out the full blog post.
