Headboard Remake

Updating an old headboard for my granddaughter.
I wanted to update this headboard so I cut out the pieces in the center and painted it navy. I cut a piece of plywood just a bit larger than the opening then traced the outline of the of the headboard onto the plywood. I then traced the outline onto foam which I then cut with an electric knife. I covered the foam with batting and fabric and stapled to the plywood. I then attached it to the frame with screws. Then I made welting and used a spoon to push it into place around the edge then used some hot glue to keep it in place.
