I got this idea for a St Patrick's Day Bouquet and well once there is an idea in my head, I usually want to see if I can actually make the silly thing. This project did take a little while to create but it was fun designing my faux flowers. I used a lot of recycled materials and a few other items that I had on hand to make my bouquet of trash.

The first "flower" is the Craspedia Billy Buttons. They are made with marbles, jewelry wire and green and yellow split peas.

Next I made some "white carnations" with some white grocery bags, bottle caps and scrap cardboard.

To add some greenery I used a green plastic bag to make the shamrock shapes.

The last step was to make my "vase" using an empty pasta jar, some painters tape and some gold spray paint.

You can find all the details to make these items in the attached video tutorial.

The green shamrocks seem to be ironed or heat treated. Is this the case?
