Old Faucet Handle Coat Rack

Once upon a time, there was a super cool vintage faucet handle coat rack being sold at Gardeners.com... then, (gasp!) it was no longer available!
Well, perfect excuse to make one and add our own spin to it, right?
We started with some old garden faucet handles from Ebay, and wood dowels cut into shorter pieces.
Attach the faucet handles to some wood dowel pieces with screw, and we could almost stop at this pretty bouquet here!
Take a piece of reclaimed fence wood 1″x8″, about 24″ long. Don't you love the character of reclaimed wood?
Next, make a fun industrial pipework pattern from masking tape, and paint the wood white.
When the tape is peeled off, the aged wood shows up. Use a little bit of sanding to make it look shabby and chic! =)
After some drilling, the handles are attached to the fence wood.
We used key-hole hangers at the back to hang the piece on the wall. Can't wait to start? Get more details on the whole process at the link below!
