Kids/Guest Bathroom Makeover on a Budget
The kids/guest bathroom in our home was the epitome of 'builder basic' and I was determined to make it a stylish bathroom with personality for both our kids and guests while sticking to a tight budget.
and here is how I did it (the link to how I did all these projects can be found at the bottom of the page)! First, I paint the cabinetry green!
Then I laid these awesome peel and stick vinyl tiles over my existing vinyl sheet flooring.
I installed board and batten 3/4 up the wall and added hooks for my kids hooded towels (I made the hooded towels for each child when they were born). I painted the upper wall in Benjamin Moore's Buxton Blue.
I turned a $12 tablecloth from Homegoods into a floor length shower curtain.
And made the plantation shutters shown above!! That's not a typo I made plantation shutters and you can too!
Lastly, I built a behind the commode decorative ladder/towel holder from scrap wood and printed out and framed the free triangle art.
Total cost of everything came to $245. We are really enjoying the results. I hope you have enjoyed this makeover!! All project tutorials and details can be found at the link below!:-)
