Tubes of Love

I have been saving my old Toilet Paper Rolls, dollar bills, quarters, gum, and other small things for my Tubes of Love Project. I moved to Chicago last January and was surprised to see so many people homeless in the cold. Some of the true homeless with no where to go at all, do not beg for money or even food...they scavenger for what they need. It came to me I can do a bit more than just give them money, but maybe a bit of other stuff they need, want or that will just make them happy too. I have enough items to go in around 4o-50 Tubes of Love. So to be able to help more, I need more supplies...
Message Below if you can donate small items, small hotel shampoo bottles, small packets of toothpaste, gum, very small single wrapped candy/food, and even more tp rolls.
Ready to be decorated and wrapped! I will blog about it down the road at

This is an example of what can go into a Tube of Love.
What is also added is a list of Shelters, Food Pantries and Warming Centers as well as many kind thoughts, words and quotes I can also fit in.
I decorate the tube and then wrap it festively. I plan to start handing them out before Christmas and as long as my supply last and through the winter.

AGAIN...I just need more supplies!

You could also use paper towel rolls, and cut them in half to give you a little more space for taller items like a toothbrush and toothpaste
