Paint Me Pretty Thrift Store Table #octfabflippincontest

I entered a contest with the Fabulous Furniture Flipping Contest, a group of great DIY bloggers. The contest was sponsored by HomeRight and I was going to receive a sprayer as part of the contest to paint my table. I've never used a paint sprayer before so this was certainly a first for me.
I've painted many pieces of furniture, but had never tackled peeling laminate. At $5.00 it was worth a try. I read an article about using your iron and damp cloth to remove the laminate. It worked........2hours later. Now I know why the table was $5.00
After removing the laminate, I sanded the residue off with an electric hand sander.
The HomeRight sprayer was a BREEZE to use. Even, smooth coverage, and even better, easy cleanup. After it dried, the table was distressed and a few bird accessories to go with the "robin's egg blue" paint.
Enjoyed the project?
