Thrifty Coffee Table Makeover

I found this unique table at our local Habitat for Humanity Store. I've been looking for just the right table for our small living space.
Of course it had to be painted. I purchased Lowe's Valspar paint and primer tinted with the Noir colour. I made my own chalk paint. I cleaned the table up and gave the top of the table a light sanding due to the varnish.
I love how unique this table is. The legs have this cool spiral look. It was easier to paint than I thought it would be.
The table had a square like piece at each corner top and bottom. It took me awhile to decide how I was going to paint this piece. I decided to use a darker colour for the table and an off white for the corners.
I applied clear wax to the entire base of the table. I also applied a small amount of dark wax to the white corners. I applied polyurethane to the top of the table.
My furniture has white slipcovers so I thought a black table with the white square corners would work well in our living space.
The black (very, very dark grey) table works well with the other black décor in the living room.
