At my local craft store I found clear acrylic ornaments. Because of its large size, it was perfect for my miniature pieces I had on hand.
The cap is removable, and with a little help of scissors and tweezers, I was able to insert my small pieces applying hot glue using my scissors as a guide while glue is still hot. (These ornaments can be found at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.)

This is a picture of me using my scissors as a guide, hot glue at the base of the ornament .
After pieces set, Buffalo snow flakes were added. You can apply as much snow you like. I chose a smaller amount to make pieces visible after snow settles. Add cap.
For a personal touch, holiday ribbon was added and name tag. This one placed on a tree.
This one is displayed in guest bathroom.
These ornaments can be placed through out your home as party favors, gifts and let's not forget place settings.
This one used as a place setting at dinner/party table for festive look and also a party favor for guest.
