$3 Christmas Tree Watering Made Easy!

Easy
Every year my husband and I spend 20 minutes every other night trying to convince the other person why it's their turn to get on the floor, climb under the tree, and water it. Unfortunately for me, I usually lose the argument. Thats when I created this "hack" to make watering easy.
All you need are:

2 pieces of PVC pipe (mine are cut to 3' and 1.5' but cut yours according to the radius of your tree and how far you want the spout to come up)

2 elbow PVC joins (install one on each end, facing opposite directions)

A funnel (my funnel was under a $1 from Walmart)

Pitcher or watering can ( I already had the pitcher)

A small fishing Bobber (I had on hand but they are super cheap. Actually any floating object work (ie plastic ball)

First put bobber in the Christmas tree stand. Plan to leave it there all season.

Then attach elbow joins to first pole, facing opposite directions. Insert 2nd pipe into upward-facing elbow join.
To water tree, put pipe into tree stand (the bottom elbow join will serve as a 'catch' so it doesn't fall out of stand).
Insert funnel into other pipe and water accordingly. It's that simple!
Now all I have to do is peek under the tree and look for the bobber. Once I can see it, I know I have enough water.

No more crawling under the tree and needles stuck in my hair. :)

Merry Christmas!

I made one of these years ago. I fastened the funnel to end of the pvc pipe, wrapped with tree matching wrapping paper. Stuck it through the tree brahches and into the tree stand. Left it there. No bending anymore.

Cool. I just store mine in the broom closet.

Alternatively, just use ice cubes, when they melt tree is watered
