10 Minutes To Refresh Your Room!

Homestead 128

It never fails that when the new year begins I start to get an itch to paint, rearrange and redecorate. While I was making all kinds of big plans for different rooms in my house I decided to take a 10 minute break and refresh the living room with the help of one can of spray paint.
The corner of our living room has had this arch lamp for years. It came with us from our first house and has been with us for 7 or 8 years. While I love the lamp (it came with a dimmer!) I wanted to change things up a bit.
The most time consuming part was lining the inside with painters tape and a plastic bag. Then I draped a drop cloth over my couch and the base of the lamp to protect the other surfaces.
A couple of minutes spraying in short, even spurts with my gold metallic spray paint and the light was done! Now that arch lamp is a statement in the living room corner, not something that simply blends in.
