Air Layering for Propagating Wisteria

This post is a method for propagating plants. This particular post is on Air Layering a Wisteria but this works for many other types of plants as well. Give it a whirl, you might get a free plant out of it.
Choose your parent plant, this one is a wisteria growing by my studio.
Wound the stem by cutting and removing the bark.
Make a pocket of soil medium or moss to keep wound moist.
Secure pocket around wound and make sure plant is supported. Mine is tied to the trellis
Protect the plastic pocket from direct sun so it does not overheat. Wait a few months and pray for roots.

Air-layering is definitely a good way to propagate some plants, Pamela. Thanks for the tips. (Although I'm not sure if anyone needs more than one wisteria!)
