Shoe Cubby Dresser

I had just redone my boys room in the fall, but after a few months I realized that a few things needed some fixing. Apparently my boys "under the bed shoe storage" was not working too well, because the night stand had to be moved every time in order to pull it out. Which meant shoes were all over the room. Then there were school books and extra legos that needed a home, so I decided it was time to fix the problem. I built them a shoe cubby dresser to contain the clutter, and I am thrilled with how it turned out!
I really wanted a masculine feel to the dresser with a rustic industrial flare.

This is a shot of where the dresser would go. The bin is full of legos and you can see the school books stuffed on the shelf. What you can't see are all the shoes behind me, covering the floor. :)
It was a pretty simple build, I used pocket holes to attach the shelves to the sides, and a nail gun for attaching the dividers.
I made drawers to hide the extra lego pieces in. In this shot I am gluing and nailing on the drawer fronts.
For the top I attached two 1x6 board and a 1x4 board with pocket hole screws and stained and sealed it.
