Flower Power Stained Table.
by

(IC: homeowner)
I was given a small mid century coffee table.. that look pretty yuck.. I knew I wanted to experiment with stain.. and this is how she turned out.
I used a stencil , varnish and walnut stain to get this look.
I sanded as much of the top back as I could and tried to get it as light as I could.
once it was all finished.. I wanted to make it clearer and brighter.. so I used Q tip and some paint remover to remove any stain that was covering the flower pattern..
Enjoyed the project?

Amy Ellis @ StowandTellU on Feb 29, 2016Sooo pretty, what a clever idea to stencil on varnish and then stain over that. It gives it a subtle, delicate effect that would be very soothing in a room.
