Here's a baby I spy quilt I made for my stepdaughter's first child.
I made this I spy baby quilt for my step daughter's first child, a baby boy named Jack. I cheated a little by purchasing the fabric squares on ebay, which saved me so much time and money.
I needle turn appliqued of the baby's name. I used a fat font I found free online for the letters. I wanted the small "a" to be how he'd learn to write an "a" in school.
Yesterday, I finally got around to basting the quilt and quilting it.
The quilting went by really fast, I quilted in the ditch with a walking foot on my sewing machine.
I used a fun camping themed fabric for the backing. This fabric was found in my fabric stash. I think it's perfect!

I like the letter font you used. May I get the website where you found the fat font?

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
You said the size of the squares is 4.5"...is that the finished size of the square or the size you cut before you sewed them together? Love this quilt.
Such a fun quilt! What search word(s) did you use to find the fabric squares? Was the quilt made from one large set of squares, or multiple smaller ones? Thank you!
What size were the letters on the quilt?
