Did you know that the home improvement industry is the biggest contributor to land fill? In honor of Earth Day, April 22nd, I thought it would be fun to do a recap of my Top 5 Favorite Upcycled Projects.
Not only is upcycling furniture and household items very trendy these days, it is an inexpensive way to get the look you want AND it saves good pieces of furniture from ending up into landfill. Saving the world one piece of furniture at a time!
This table is one of my favorites. I was driving along the street running an errand when I came across this table sitting on its side. I quickly pulled over and put it into my van before the owners changed their mind. (I actually keep my seats in my van folded down for when I find a furniture rescue!)
Another table that is one of my favorites AND another street find, this time by Mr. Add Value!
Being a cat lover, I love this one but it seems that only fellow cat lovers can appreciate this cute little bedside table.
I like really like this hutch that I did, but I was so surprised when he became a favorite among readers. I guess I’m not the only one that likes blue hutches!
In one of my design classes, we had to design a light for under $10.00 I designed this light for my son who was 4 years old at the time and loved all things trucks and cars.
To see the how to's for each project, and to find out the answer to my question above, please check out my blog.
