This Rainbow Tin Indoor Plant Pot Activity is a creative and simple way for kids to reuse, recycle and repurpose your larger tin cans in a crafty, fun and imaginative way – and it’s completely glue-free. The systematic wrapping and tying of recycled ribbon or thin strips of material is brilliant for fine motor skills and practice with tying knots. This craft is best suited to slightly older children- who could also be responsible for caring for the plant inside. I’d recommend using a hardy herb- as this can be used and enjoyed in the kitchen too! This would add an element of pride, knowing that they had grown it themselves.
The Rainbow Tin Indoor Plant Pot Activity extends past the decorating of the tin and is designed to incorporate the planting/re-potting of the selected plant as well as caring for the plant with regular watering. A creative way to embrace craft, natural science and a sense of responsibility and accountability.
